Some of my best stories are written in the car. No, this isn’t some kind of distracted driving where there’s a typewriter on my lap and people in traffic are swearing at me and waving their fists. I’m talking about what’s going on in my head. I’ve taken to turning the radio off and putting my attention on my stories.
I prefer to have my writng for the day mostly written before I sit down at my lap top. I do this pre-writing while driving, right before I go to bed or when I’m out for a walk
